An artist behind the chair. A creator behind the screen.
Thavery — Hair Architect & Scalp Specialist, Visual Brand Designer & Content Creator — is the hair artist and digital creator behind OutKastz Artistry, based in Calgary, AB. Over 20 years in the hair industry, with a specialty in short hair, trained through Vidal Sassoon and Aveda programs.
Design runs parallel: a social media/web marketing diploma, followed by a graphic design diploma earned with honors, opened the door to logo work, brand kits, and print design alongside the chair work.
Raised in Canada by Khmer (Cambodian) immigrant parents, that generational thread runs through everything built here — including the Tevida Zhen journal, where the personal, cultural, and creative sides get written out in full.
My passion for design goes beyond hair care into digital art, graphic visual media, and brand design. OutKastz Artistry was born from that same creative energy — a space where classic craftsmanship, individuality, and honest connection come together, rejecting corporate fads and restrictive templates for a customized, simplistic style.
OutKastz Artistry is the umbrella for all of it, with three clear branches: Scalp & Hair Artistry, the Design Studio & Print Shop, and the Tevida Zhen journal.
